The Glasgow Golf Union website has been designed to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards with accessibility in mind. This site will look it's best in a browser that supports web standards, but it is accessible to any browser or Internet device.

Windows users press "Alt" simultaneously with an access key then return/enter key, Mac users press "Control" with an access key.

Font/Type Sizes

You can increase the size of the type on this site by changing the settings of your internet browser. Follow the instructions below to change the type size. Pictures and words that are part of pictures will not change size.

If you are using a mouse or trackball that is fitted with a 'scroll' wheel, you can use the wheel to increase and decrease the size of the type if you simultaneously hold down the 'Ctrl' button on the keyboard.

If you do not have a scroll wheel then the type size can be changed in your internet browser toolbar.

Changing text size in Internet Explorer:

Go to the "View" menu at the top of the screen and select "Text Size."

You will see five choices ranging from "Largest" to "Smallest." Choose the text size that is most comfortable for you to see.

Changing font size in Netscape Communicator:

Go to the "View" menu at the top of the screen and select "Increase Font."

You can repeat this step over and over until you find a text size that is comfortable for you to see.

Changing text size in Firefox:

Go to the "View" menu at the top of the screen and select "Increase Text Size."

You can repeat this step over and over until you find a text size that is comfortable for you to see.

After you change the size of the text, you may find the layout of the screen changes slightly. You will probably need to scroll the page more in order to see all of the text. No information will be lost when you do this.
